A340 Shift Kit to suit all A340 Gearboxes, this shift kit is reccomended for every A340 with a power level above standard. Unless consulting with us directly only drill shift holes to the "Truck" setting for all builds. Do not install the low hold portion of the kit for any diesel application. If you believe you will be pushing your a340 above 400hp please consult us for specific advise when installing this kit. It it also reccomended that you do not re-install the valve body gaskets when fitting this kit.
This 340 SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit fits 1985 and newer Toyota, Lexus, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Kia and Jeep vehicles equipped with the A340, A341, A343 and AW4 series automatic transmissions. Common complaints with those transmissions are rough shifts when cold, soft shifts, lazy kickdown, TCC Slip as well as overheating.
The first area of concern leading to those complaints is a worn-out TCC relay boost valve and bushing. When the TCC relay boost valve and bushing wear out, lock-up control and overheating complaints occur. As for the other shift complains, they require recalibration of the accumulator springs, pressure regulator spring as well as the orifices in the valve body separator plate.

The kit includes a drop-in USA-made hardened steel TCC relay boost valve and bushing that will restore the hydraulic circuit integrity for type two, three and four valve bodies except some Lexus models. This hardened steel boost valve and bushing assembly provides you with a durable direct replacement for the soft aluminum OEM assembly that is prone to wear. The kit also comes with everything you need to recalibrate the accumulators, separator plate feed orifice’s and pressure regulation for a better shifting and a more durable transmission.
